EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee consists of 9 office bearers elected by the members of the general assembly to promote the concept of advocate for the rights of the person with disabilities in Nepal.

Executive Committee members serve a 2-year term and meet every 4 months. The organization has 5 women as members of an executive committee consisting of persons with disabilities and parents of persons with disabilities. and have different ethnic backgrounds.

Birodh Khatiwada

President Birodh Khatiwada is a passionate disability rights activist, mediator, and trainer, serving as the Chairperson of Disabled Care Nepal (DCN). For over two decades, he has been empowering persons with disabilities by building platforms for advocacy and policy influence. Believing in the power of inclusion and peacebuilding, he champions the idea that persons with disabilities can serve as mediators at the community level to foster peace. He has also led groundbreaking work in financial inclusion, making Prabhu Pay the first disability-friendly wallet in Nepal. Mr. Khatiwada remains committed to advancing rights, dignity, and opportunities for persons with disabilities across Nepal.

MS. Sarmila chettri

Vice President "I am Sharmila Chhetri, a woman with a physical disability, serving as the Vice President of Disabled Care Nepal, a national-level organization working for the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities and their families. I run my own beauty parlor as a businesswoman and am also a skilled instructor in the beauty sector. I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Education. I have been continuously engaged as a disability rights activist, advocating with an inclusive perspective and clear voice for the rights of persons with disabilities."
