Disabled Care Nepal (DCN) is a non-governmental organization established in 2019, dedicated to the empowerment of persons with disabilities and their families. Our mission is to promote their rights and interests by advancing livelihood opportunities, employment, financial literacy, access to banking wallets, community-based rehabilitation, inclusive education, healthcare, rehabilitation, and accessibility.

Position: Program Assistant – Finance Officer

Job Specification

Education & Experience:

  • Completed Minimum 10+2 or equivalent (Accounting background is obligatory).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in accounting and finance management.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong skills in filing, record-keeping, and account management.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Nepali, English .
  • Ability to type fluently in both Nepali and English (including Unicode typing).
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet usage.
  • Strong understanding of financial transactions, documentation, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of disability issues, disability-specific laws, and policies is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in the disability sector will be given priority.
  • Ability to draft and dispatch official letters effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in handling the daily financial and administrative tasks of the organization.
  • Maintain and manage financial records, accounts, and required supporting documents.
  • Support in drafting letters, filing, documentation, and secretarial tasks.
  • Perform banking-related tasks such as deposits, withdrawals, and statement collections.
  • Assist the Treasurer and Board in financial reporting and budget preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and government regulations.
  • Handle reception, communicate with visitors, and provide necessary information regarding disability-related programs.
  • Support the management of training, workshops, and advocacy meetings.
  • Carry out official fieldwork as required.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for the betterment of the organization.
